My own AI pair (Pair), working on a computer of its own

The AI pair
that looks out
for you, first

Just leave it on. Beside you while you work as usual, it follows what's going on and finds and organizes what you'll need before you ask. It keeps going while you're away, and what gets sent is always sent by me.

The Y-Pair employee app's «Waiting on me» screen (shown in Korean): a request to send a message appears with the deadline for answering and what would be sent, as recipient and body, with Allow and Decline buttons, and the chat / files / approvals menu below
Anything that can't be undone, it asks me about first.

24 hours a day

Beside me while I work, behind the scenes while I rest

While I work, it handles what I hand over right beside me; while I'm away, it reads, searches and organizes. Anything that goes outside waits until I press the button.

Me
Pair

In the hours where the two bars overlap, we work as one pair — that is Pairwork.

During work

Hand it over right away

«Put together a comparison table for this quote.» Just ask and it's made.

After work

It keeps watch after I leave

«Tell me if the supplier's delivery date changes.» It tells me only what changed.

Before dawn

It prepares the morning ahead

Replies, reports and quote requests are written as drafts. They are not sent.

07:30

Morning briefing

On my phone on the way in: what happened overnight and what is on today, at a glance.

09:00

I choose what goes out

I check, and send only what should be sent.

My AI pair's own computer

Not a presence inside a chat window — it works on a computer of its own

My AI pair works on a computer of its own. The storage and the computing power are used by my pair alone.

My tools

It uses only the tools and connectors the company allows. Before anything goes outside, it asks me first. It never mixes with anyone else's pair.

The pair's browser

Anything on the web, my pair does in its own browser. If it needs a logged-in state (a profile), it asks my permission before using it and uses only what I've allowed.

My storage

Received files, documents in progress and memories stay. Yesterday's work picks up again today.

A computer that's on around the clock

It keeps working after I leave. The company can't open our conversations either (by design).

The Y-Pair employee app's files screen (shown in Korean): like a file explorer, with the workspace folder location at the top, two folders and a quote comparison table, a report draft and a meeting prep note listed row by row with type icons, modified date and size, and below them a box for uploading files and the chat / files / approvals menu

Open the pair's workspace like a folder and edit together

I can open the drafts and materials my pair made right away, and drop in my own files to work on together. If my pair edited the same file while I was editing, mine is kept separately. Files travel only between my screen and my workspace and never pass through this app's server. The key lives on my device, so it isn't visible on the company's admin screens (by design).

Looking and sending out are different things

Opening and editing together is my business. Anything that goes outside goes only when I approve it, and my pair stops right before it.

Pairwork — the two of us, like one team

Just leave it on, and it settles in beside me while I work

No need to give instructions or polish your questions. It looks at the same screen and keeps watch next to your work with a small widget. An ordinary working day gets a good deal easier.

No need to explain

It's looking at the same screen, so I never have to start by explaining what I'm doing. It lines up the materials and tools I need ahead of time.

It flags things before I miss them

It looks up what is related to what I'm doing and offers advice. If it spots a mistake, it tells me right away and pitches in along my workflow.

It takes over tedious repetition

When my pair asks «Shall I try it myself?», it moves the computer only if I allow it, taking over the repetitive work.

It carries on after I leave

It sums up the day, keeps going with what's needed, and prepares tomorrow. Start the next morning with everything in order.

A quote is open with the unit price in row 3 marked because it differs from the last quote, and a «Pairwork · together» widget sits at one side of the screen. The bottom is my pair's own computer. Viewing together and sending out are different things

Sending, publishing, paying and deleting go out only when I press the button myself. My pair stops right before them.

How Y-Pair works

It gets the work ready beside me; the decisions are mine

My pair prepares, searches and organizes; I choose and decide.

Where it worksIt handles files on a computer of its own and works with the tools it is allowed.
When it worksIt is on around the clock — beside me while I work, behind the scenes while I am away.
What it doesIt checks mail, portals and business systems, organizes them, and even drafts the replies.
Does it carry onFiles and memories stay in my storage, so yesterday's work continues today.
Working togetherFrom my PC I open my pair's workspace like a folder and work on the same files together.
When something goes outIt goes only when I approve it. Company rules are enforced before my pair moves.
From the company's sideThe company provides it and sets the rules. It is reclaimed when the person leaves.

What to hand over

Hand over the preparing, the watching and the following up

The examples by job are there to help you picture it. What can actually be handed over depends on the business-system connections the company allows and its rules.

Morning briefing

Overnight mail, today's schedule and changes to my work, organized and handed to me before I start.

Inbox triage and reply drafts

It separates urgent mail from what can wait and writes replies as drafts. I do the sending.

Watch, and report only what changed

It checks supplier portals, notices and prices on the schedule I set and tells me only what is different.

Delegating development work

It reproduces, fixes and even prepares the change proposal. Whether to merge it is up to me.

Meeting prep

Before a meeting it gathers background, past decisions and open questions into a prep note.

Missed follow-ups

It finds threads I have not answered and invoices I forgot, and queues them up as drafts.

What it doesn't do

  • It never sends, deletes or pays behind my back. It always asks first.
  • It doesn't promise to «just handle everything». It takes on preparing, watching and following up.
  • It doesn't break company rules on its own — even as it learns more.

Why companies and employees both feel safe

The company can erase, but cannot see

The controls that are needed are there, but my conversations are not looked into.

A separate space for every employee

Each pair works in its own separated workspace. It never mixes with anyone else's pair.

Rules applied before it acts

The company decides what to ask first and what to block, and the rules apply before my pair moves.

Records without content

Only what happened is recorded; conversation content isn't kept.

Stop and reclaim at any time

Administrators can stop it instantly, and when someone leaves it is reclaimed and the workspace is deleted.

Employees only

  • My conversations are neither stored nor visible on the company's admin screens (by design). I view and delete my own conversations and memories myself.
  • The workspace opens only with my device key and recovery key, and opens conveniently with a key kept on the device.
  • I name my pair myself, and that name isn't kept at the company either (by design).

Company

  • It is provisioned through the company's accounts and reclaimed when someone leaves.
  • The company sets the rules and which business systems to allow, by organization, department and individual.
  • Metrics that could be used for evaluation are seen only as team-level aggregates.
  • It can be erased.

The company can erase, but cannot see.

Our promise

What we promise, and what we can't

We've laid out plainly what we promise and what we don't.

Not possible by design

The company's admin screens have no feature at all for storing or showing conversation content.

Approval requests and notifications carry no content either; the app fetches it directly from my workspace.

Blocked and recorded by policy

My pair can't go past the rules the company set, and connects to the outside only where the company allows.

You can verify it

The company's security team checks directly from the source and the configuration, and with check scripts after installation.

What we can't guarantee

It is not hardware-based confidential computing (TEE). The isolation today is software isolation and a no-viewing design.

If an employee loses both their device and the recovery kit, neither the company nor iyulab can bring it back.

Conversations in outside chat channels an employee turns on (messengers and the like) can be seen by the operator of that service, so they fall outside the no-viewing design. We tell you when you turn one on, and approval requests and notifications carry no content.

For the person adopting it · Foundation

It runs inside the company, on the company's own models

My pair works on top of Y-Enclave, an isolated-execution platform. The AI model is simply the model server the company already uses (OpenAI-compatible).

Even the management server is installed on the company infrastructure, and everything keeps working in an air-gapped network cut off from the internet.

Frequently asked questions

Questions you may have, answered up front

What people who use it ask

How is this different from a chat AI?

Y-Pair is a pair that keeps working around the clock on a computer of its own. Results gather in «Waiting on me», and I'm the one who sends anything out.

Can my company see my conversations?

The company's admin screens are designed so that conversation content is neither stored nor shown. This is software isolation with a no-viewing design; it is not hardware-based confidential computing (TEE).

Will it send emails or pay for things behind my back?

No. Anything that goes outside — sending, publishing, paying, deleting — always asks first under the company's rules, and goes out only after I approve it in «Waiting on me».

For the person adopting it · What they ask

Where is it installed?

On the company's own infrastructure. Even the management server stays inside the company, it works in air-gapped networks, and the AI model is the model server the company already uses.

What happens when an employee leaves?

An administrator stops it and reclaims it right away, and deletes the workspace. Once the workspace key is destroyed, the data can no longer be read.

Can the company audit my AI pair's activity log?

Operational records are kept only as closed fields: type, number and time. Files, screens and conversation content inside the workspace are designed not to be kept centrally (by design). Operational events such as an attempt blocked by a rule or a limit being reached are recorded without content. If you are looking for a way to record every activity including its content, this may not be a fit.

How is the cost decided?

It depends on the scope of the rollout (number of employees, installation environment) and is explained in an adoption consultation.
